a. The moment in the Storm of Souls storyline in which we discover that Dominic is the Champion of Balance. (http://www.dominic-deegan.com/view.php?date=2005-03-01) I was really struck by the notion of a fantasy world that's based not on good and evil but on balance and imbalance. It appeals to the part of me that studies Zen Buddhism.
b. His sense of responsibility. However much he dislikes it, Dominic realizes that he has an obligation to use his second sight to help people whenever he can. There may be no Stan Lee in the Deeganverse, but Dominic had "with great power comes great responsibility" hammered into his head at an early age, and abides by it to this day.
c. Unless they immediately show a high degree of intelligence, he tends to assume that everyone around him are the same kinds of idiots he dealt with back in Lynn's Brook. This does not endear him to people.
d. It varies. I find it more difficult to play Dominic when I'm in a good mood than when I'm in a bad mood. Thus, he's kind of become my default "just got home from my crappy day job" character.
e. It's short, but I'm particularly fond of Dominic's reaction to Ray-inna-Yith. (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/19149506.html?thread=809144514#t809144514) It's got the same blend of grump, snark, and WTF as the webcomic itself.
f. I just kicked off the Oracle Hunter plot last Friday, and will be moving Dominic forward through the storyline over the next couple of weeks. Expect certain portions of it to bleed into Milliways. :)
